In the Beginning...

Beginning in the mid-1980s, utilizing MIDI Time Code and SMPTE to integrate Amigas, PCs, DAW-based sequencers, outboard sequencers and analog tape recorders in a hybrid analog/digital studio recording setting, my fascination and love of technology in practical and creative environments blossomed, and grew over the next two decades.

Subsequent collegiate studies in Electronic Engineering, Photography and Technical Education all have contributed to my versatility and expertise with Windows-based PCs and peripherals in a stand-alone or network environment.

Starting in 1991 with Computer & Supply Co. and then as PC Specialist, Inc., I have provided full consultation services, ranging from the nuts and bolts of wiring and hardware installation, to the more esoteric arts of software selection, installation and integration; LAN; WAN; digital radiography; digital music, video and photography; automated manufacturing; and just about any other imageineable PC application for hundreds of extremely loyal and trusting clients throughout the Charleston metro area, and from Parkersburg to Bluefield.

About Me...

I take the satisfaction of my clients very personally. When a client chooses me to provide their technology service, and I choose to work for a particular client, our relationship becomes much different from what one would expect. I become part of that client's team, or family, or organization, as their advocate. Unlike many IT firms, my goal is not return calls for repeat business, but to provide solutions absolutely in the best interest of my clients, and solutions as simple and efficient as possible, in order to make my clients as self-sufficient as possible.

I am fair to a fault. My life and my business are strictly guided by my philosophy and my faith, with no wiggle room and no compromises.

While being the sole employee of an IT company might seem limiting, it is also very liberating, in that I do not have to worry about someone else over whom I have little or no control going into the home or office of one of my clients and doing something I would not approve of, or something that might not be the most beneficial to my client. And, you as the client always know who will be coming to your door, what their qualifications and history are, what their personality is like, and how trustworthy they are. Of course, as one person, the size of the networks I can manage is limited, but I prefer it that way.
